Red Light Therapy (Photobiomodulation) and laser therapy are related in that both involve the use of light to induce biological changes within
the body. However, there are differences in the types of light and methods used. RED LIGHT THERAPY (PBM) typically uses LEDs or low-level lasers at specific wavelengths of light (usually in the red to near-infrared range) that do not cause thermal damage to the tissues. In contrast, some forms of laser therapy can generate heat and are used for surgical cutting, ablation, or to thermally accelerate tissue repair. Both modalities aim to promote healing and reduce pain and inflammation, but RED LIGHT THERAPY (PBM) is generally non- thermal and considered non-invasive.
